YT-DLP EASY APP / COMPONENTS
Third-party notices
YT-DLP Easy uses separate upstream tools. Their software and licences remain separate from the YT-DLP Easy proprietary licence.
Pinned configuration reviewed 30 October 2026
The installer contains YT-DLP Easy. It does not bundle yt-dlp, FFmpeg, or ffprobe. After you accept the first-run terms and request setup, the app downloads the pinned helper artifacts directly from their named upstream providers. OpenLogic Lab does not host or mirror those helper binaries in this release.
yt-dlp 2026.10.26
The app retrieves the official Windows x64 standalone asset from the matching GitHub release.
- Project source licence: The Unlicense.
- The official README notes that PyInstaller-bundled executables contain GPLv3-or-later licensed code. See the release’s bundled third-party licences.
- App-pinned SHA-256:
f5389d3698ecde4ef06f4e6b1ce0294fe9ac1396228c8990b8d3416d6d177a7d.
The app directs each user to download this asset from the upstream release. The hash is pinned from immutable GitHub release metadata; it is not a publisher code signature. OpenLogic Lab does not convey this executable. Reassess if the distribution model changes to bundling, mirroring, or proxying it.
FFmpeg and ffprobe — Gyan FFmpeg 9.0.2 Essentials
Provider: Gyan.dev builds. The app retrieves ffmpeg-9.0.2-essentials_build.zip, a Windows x64 static Essentials build identified by the provider as GPLv3.
- Source revision: FFmpeg/FFmpeg@946fcce07b.
- Provider-published SHA-256:
60f467265b1e312373dbcd92200c2618a74850f98d3d078e94296bb3fa2047ba. - Provider checksum file and GPLv3 text.
The hash comes from the same provider serving the ZIP, so it detects mismatches against the pinned value but is not independent authentication. OpenLogic Lab does not host or mirror the archive. If distribution changes, obtain the exact corresponding source and build materials and satisfy applicable GPLv3 terms. See FFmpeg’s licensing information.
Go
The app is built with Go and includes Go standard-library code under the BSD 3-Clause licence. The project declares no external Go modules. See the Go licence files.
Windows utilities and artwork
The app invokes utilities supplied with Windows, including PowerShell, reg, Explorer, taskkill, and ie4uinit; they are not bundled. The OpenLogic Lab website mark is publisher-supplied artwork. Product artwork in the app is supplied by the publisher.
