YT-DLP EASY APP / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

This notice explains what YT-DLP Easy and the staged OpenLogic Lab website do with information.

Version 1.0 · 31 October 2026 · Publisher: Prapya Bhaskar

In short

The inspected app source contains no developer analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or account service. The app does not send your download links or history to OpenLogic Lab. This finding comes from source review, not packet capture of a released installer.

Information kept on your PC

The app stores your selected output-folder path and first-run agreement acceptance locally under your Windows app-data folder. yt-dlp cache files are stored in the app’s local cache. The current job list is held in memory and is not saved by the inspected source. The embedded browser profile uses a Windows temporary folder and stores the theme setting there. Downloaded media is saved to the folder you select.

Network connections

After you accept the app agreement and request setup or repair, the app retrieves yt-dlp 2026.10.26 from its official GitHub release and FFmpeg 9.0.2 Essentials from Gyan.dev. On startup, the app requests the pinned yt-dlp asset again; the manual update control requests the same pinned asset. The app checks downloads against pinned SHA-256 values before installing them. The FFmpeg checksum is published by the same provider serving the archive, so it is not independent authentication.

When you request information or a download, yt-dlp runs on your PC and connects to the URL you entered and any supporting hosts it needs. Those requests do not pass through an OpenLogic Lab server. The destination services receive ordinary connection information and follow their own privacy practices. The app uses a loopback-only local interface between its window and local process.

Cookies and configuration

The inspected app source passes --ignore-config to yt-dlp and does not read browser cookies or extract browser credentials.

Support contact

The app’s Contact Support button opens a Google Forms responder page in your external browser. It does not embed the form or prefill your download history or settings. Information you choose to submit is sent to Google and shared with Prapya Bhaskar. Google handles that information under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Website data

The staged website contains no analytics or advertising scripts. When hosted, the hosting provider may process standard connection data needed to serve the pages and downloads under its own policies.

Retention and deletion

App settings and cache remain on your PC until you remove them or delete the app’s data folder. Uninstall removes shortcuts and the Windows Installed apps entry, then opens the app folder for manual removal. It does not delete your chosen downloads folder or media files.

Changes and contact

This policy may change when app behavior, dependency versions, or website hosting changes. Publisher: Prapya Bhaskar, publishing under the OpenLogic Lab brand. Contact: prapyabhaskar27@gmail.com.
